FTM holders on Opera can seamlessly upgrade their tokens to S on a 1:1 basis using the upgrade portal on MySonic. For the first 90 days after Sonic’s mainnet launch, you can freely swap between FTM and S through this portal. After that, upgrades will be from FTM to S only.
If the number of transactions through the upgrade portal exceeds 2 million per day, we reserve the right to add a fee to mitigate spam.
FTM on Ethereum
If you hold FTM on Ethereum, you can either wait for the upgrade portal to support upgrading it to S, which should happen soon, or transfer your FTM to a CEX, move it to Fantom Opera, and then use the upgrade portal.
WFTM on Ethereum
If you hold WFTM on Ethereum, you can either wait for the upgrade portal to support upgrading it to S, at which point you'd need to unwrap the WFTM and use the portal.
Alternatively, you can transfer your FTM to a CEX, move it to Fantom Opera, and then use the upgrade portal.
WFTM on Opera
If you hold WFTM on Opera, simply unwrap the token and use the dedicated upgrade portal on MySonic to upgrade to S on a 1:1 basis.
FTM on Centralized Exchange
If you hold FTM on a centralized exchange, we’re collaborating with major exchanges to enable users to upgrade FTM to S directly on their platforms. Stay tuned for updates from the CEX where you hold your FTM. Alternatively, you can withdraw your FTM to Fantom Opera and upgrade to S through our upgrade portal.
Staked or Delegated FTM
If you have staked FTM, you can withdraw, and following a 24-hour waiting period, you can claim your FTM and upgrade to S on our upgrade portal on a 1:1 basis.
