Sonic Boom

Sonic Boom is a bounty program that rewards developers with points toward our airdrop for building innovative applications on Sonic.

Up to 30 winning projects will receive an allocation of Sonic Gems, which are points in our airdrop that projects can distribute to users as rewards for using their apps. This approach helps projects bootstrap and sustain user activity by encouraging continued use and interaction.

Sonic Gems

Sonic Gems are points that users can earn in our 190,500,000 S airdrop by using the apps that are participating in the Boom program on Sonic.

37.5% of the total airdrop is allocated to holders of Gems. The Sonic Boom program is the first initiative with which we're distributing a portion of these Gems.

Allocation

We’re allocating a substantial amount of Sonic Gems to the winning apps of this program, recognizing up to 10 winners each in three tiers:

🥉 Ruby Small amount of Gems.

Assessment Criteria

Applications are judged on uniqueness, usability, and potential to drive user adoption on Sonic.

• Execution: Is the project executed with excellence?

• Impact: What is the broader impact and sustainability of the project?

• Points Strategy: How effectively will the application use Sonic Gems to bootstrap success?

Winning projects must deploy on the Sonic testnet with a live, interactive frontend. Once the Sonic mainnet is live, they must deploy within 7 days.

Important Dates

• Program Launch: August 20

• Submission Deadline: November 1

• Evaluation Period: October 31 – November 3

• Announcement of Winners: November 4

Winners will receive the first part of their allocation at the launch of Sonic and the second part 60 days after launch, carrying additional weight based on continued performance and contribution to the network.
